Klaipėda public transport project

The renewal of public transport in the Klaipėda district with electric minibusses is a progressive step to improve public transport in and around Klaipėda, supported financially by the European Union. It aims to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions by replacing old-generation diesel buses with modern, environmentally friendly electric buses. This solution will help create a cleaner and healthier environment for all citizens.

In addition to the renewal of the vehicles, the project also includes the creation of new infrastructure for the operation of green buses. This will not only improve the quality of public transport but also make it more attractive for passengers. Hopefully, these investments will encourage more people to choose more sustainable travel options, reducing dependency on polluting cars.

The project is scheduled to run from October 2024 to January 2026 and will undoubtedly be an important step towards a more sustainable city. With this initiative, Klaipėda is moving towards a brighter and greener future – where air quality is better and the urban environment is more friendly to both the people and nature.

The estimated cost of the project is € 13 784 676.07.
