TOKS Scholarship Awarded to a First-Year VILNIUS TECH Student

On November 7th, the CEO of the intercity passenger transport company TOKS, Valentinas Belousovas, awarded a company-established scholarship to first-year student Benas Mikulskis at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). The student is enrolled in the Transport Engineering Economics and Logistics study programme, which will later be renamed to Logistics and Transport Management.

The monthly scholarship of 300 EUR is intended to motivate undergraduate students studying in state-funded positions. The scholarship will be awarded to the student for four academic years (2025–2029), paying 3,000 EUR annually over a period of 10 study months (September to June). The recipient was selected by a joint committee consisting of representatives from VILNIUS TECH and the business sector.

“The transport and logistics sector is currently undergoing significant transformation: the number of electric vehicles is rapidly increasing, transport management systems are becoming digital and integrated, sustainability requirements are tightening, and new mobility habits are emerging — all of this is changing our daily life.

Therefore, investing in the younger generation means investing in a reliable, innovative, and sustainable future for Lithuania — and in a field where Lithuania has the potential to become a global leader,”

said Valentinas Belousovas during the scholarship award ceremony.
