TOKS is launching a strategic partnership with FlixBus, the international leader in long-distance bus travel. This cooperation marks an important milestone for both companies as they expand their operations in the Baltic region and unlock new travel opportunities for passengers across Lithuania.
Under the new partnership, more than 350 new stops in Lithuania will be integrated into the FlixBus ticketing system, while TOKS will operate regular FlixBus routes in Finland.
Over one hundred TOKS buses will operate under the branding “In cooperation with FlixBus”, complementing the green FlixBus fleet while maintaining TOKS’ own brand identity.
TOKS CEO Valentinas Belousovas emphasizes that this partnership will significantly expand service accessibility and enhance the passenger experience.
“This agreement marks a very important phase in our growth. We recently signed a deal with an international strategic investor, which will give us greater opportunities to grow the business, and the strategic partnership with FlixBus significantly broadens our route network. It is important for us to be part of the transformations that promote more sustainable mobility and provide passengers with more options. In addition, I am confident that this cooperation with FlixBus will help us achieve our goal of becoming the largest public transport company in the Baltic States and expanding into the Nordic region,” noted V. Belousovas.
Both FlixBus and TOKS share a commitment to reducing environmental impact and encouraging greener travel. TOKS already operates dozens of electric buses in its city fleets, while FlixBus is implementing a long-term carbon-neutrality strategy across Europe, testing liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, and electric long-distance coaches.
The strategic partnership will also enable passengers from many more Lithuanian towns to easily connect to the FlixBus network, which links 13 European countries and more than 100 major cities. Seamless connections and a unified ticketing system will allow passengers to plan journeys from smaller Lithuanian towns to major European capitals without additional steps or separate ticket purchases.
Ticket sales will begin in November, and the first new routes will launch in December. Tickets will be available on the FlixBus website and mobile app.
